The Capital Region Dance Season Calendar is a four color brochure that represents 10 dance presenters in upstate New York. Participating presenters are located in Albany, Saratoga Springs, Troy, Schenectady and Warren Counties. The calendar covers an eleven month period September to August and provides a full list of dance performances in a five county region. The Project is the only effort and document for all dance presenters to work together to develop dance audiences.

A foldable calendar was designed by DF member Kim Engel. 7,000 four color calendars will be printed. 5,500 calendars were processed at a mail house and send to known dance audience members. 200 calendars were sent first class to all members of the regional Dance Alliance. 1,300 calendars were provided to local presenters and arts organizations for tabling and distribution.

Partnerships between organizations that offer dance are nurtured by this project. Local dance companies are also consulted and listed on the calendar. Each year a new presenter emerges, and others are less active. The calendar alerts local universities, arts centers regarding touring dance companies allowing for outreach planning and execution.
