Skidmore College celebrated the choreographer, Stephen Petronio and his company over a 9 month period, fall 2016 to spring 2017.  The programing was multifaceted with dozens of unique opportunities for upstate New York to be exposed and understand the lineage and work of Stephen Petronio.  NYS DanceForce funding was used to bring a veteran Petronio dancer, Gino Grenek to Skidmore to set Stephen’s piece “Ship Song” on 13 dance majors which was performed on the Spring Faculty Concert, open to the public.  The goal of this project was to offer an in depth repertory experience for pre-professional dancers.
